fixagel Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Well that's it, what are you currently watching ? You can go with "im watching sakura" or give a lil review about what have you [not]enjoy so far, to maybe make us go and watch it too!. Im watching: Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni I gotta say at first kind of turn me down due to the -cute- anime style (that's until the guy grab the bat then shit start to happend), but the history actually caught me and made me want to know more about it, because is told in a curious way; The story goes in chapters (ie 4 episodes compose a chapter) the chapters tell the same story about the curse in the town, tell us something about it, or about those that where involve and then end around the day of the festival. And we continue into another chapter that start from the beginning (as nothing happend), but goes deeper into the story from a diferent point of view on the same setting but with differences, also as those chapters develop we know more about characters and the curse, which each chapter having diferent outcomes. Since the source of this animu is a visual novel, that explain why would we have to "replay" in order to grasp the whole story. I would recommend it if you want some mystery in your animu and like when things go crazy without a proper explanation (which in theory should be resolve later on the anime... I hope ) the bad thing is that as far I know it consist of two seasons with 26 episodes and some ovas. Long ones sometimes drag too long and get boring and tedious, I hope this is not the case. 1

Anyway I've just finished watching higurashi no naku koro kai the second season of the animu I open the post, gotta say I enjoy it a lot more than the first season and the ending was not bad, would recommend certainly for those that enjoy time-travel-esque kind of story. There is still for what i've dig a third season and some oavs but wont watch them for now. Next on the plate is gona be... Sin Nanatsu no Taizai or Death Parade, still unsure... keep you posted later on 1 1
RyouBakura Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I say go with Death Parade if you haven't yet. It's worth the watch. And the opening is top notch! 2

Yesh that opening has nothing to do with the animu at all, still kind of cool, as for the show I saw it all this weekend, gotta say it really interesting its premise and morality. I feel a lil bad about the cheating wife later on, just for a bit. Although it leave some incognites and WTF happend to the cat ? as a side note the Light cameo was a nice touch. Highly recommend it if you are into drama and choice's of life. Anyway this time I probably gona watch No gamu no life, mostly cuz the pastel and neon colors have a way to captivate my attention, I do hope is good 1 1
RyouBakura Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Well there is no anime I am currently watching, and I'm still contemplating what I might watch. But one I recently finished is Made in Abyss. A show with really cute character design which contradicts its dark scenes. I guess it's similar to that with Higurashi. Really enjoyed this one. I can't say it threw me off guard because I already knew what I was getting into. Basically it's about a girl that wants to explore the Abyss like her mother who she had never seen. The Abyss being a giant hole in the world that once you descend you are cursed, with the curse's effects increasing the more you descend, and sky-rocketing if you went back up. 1
Tokitoki Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Started watching Naruto Shippoden on episode 5 so far I like it. Still watching Dragon Ball S when it's a new one. 1
Yukiko Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I finished Netojuu no Susume (Recovery of an MMO Junkie) I LOVED IT. It's a romance/MMORPG Anime but not set in high school it's about Morioka Moriko she is 30 years old an just quit her job to become a full-time NEET. She finds her new home in "Fruits de Mer" but decides to make a Male char not a Female one ^-^ And with that the fun starts. (ME IRL) Won't spoil you too much but it is really a neat little anime (only 10 Episodes + 1 OVA) that shows you the problem we have nowadays with people living in a virtual world and not having any social interaction. But than it advances into a romance where both characters involved are not really sure how to feel and let me tell you one thing IT FEELS SO REAL. Yeah we all now the clicheè school romance but this one isn't one of them, don't if it is the older characters that make it feel so good or the whole thing how the two meet. But i was enjoying every second of it. The only negative thing i would have to say is that it was kinda short and the romance part could be more than what happend in it the ova went a bit more with it but still like 2-4 more episodes would have been perfect. Yeah that was more a "What i watched" than a "What i am watching" But right now i picked up Dagashi Kashi and damn that is a commercial anime for Japanese snacks if there is one ^^ But one of the main chars Hotaru is so over the top you just can't stop it 1 1
sprocket12 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Currently not watching any anime... I have no idea about anime series, never really watched any... unless you count something like pokemon, which I watched like some episodes ages ago. But since I am playing P4 Golden, I read something (don't remember) that there is some anime to do with it? Maybe you guys know more. Is it worth finding / watching it? What is the anime named? Would it spoil the game?
fixagel Posted January 12, 2018 Author Posted January 12, 2018 @sprocket12 "Persona 4 The Golden Animation" I've heard that is not that great compared to the anime game, its seem that there are aswell two versions of the anime I think the Golden Animation is the expanded one, but probably lack in comparasion to the game and pretty sure it gona spoil you every important thing (hours of gameplay vs 24 episodes). 1 2
sprocket12 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 @fixagel I guess I could watch the episodes that i have played, I am midway through the game, in the "void" dungeon. That should work out?
fixagel Posted January 12, 2018 Author Posted January 12, 2018 @sprocket12 probably that could work if you only watch those that you have only played, however would be kind of hard to know at what episode stop, btw I misstype the game is much more better than the game already fixed it. 1 1
Deforutonamae Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 I'm 130eps into my maiden watch of Nartuo. I have a long journey ahead!
sprocket12 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 (edited) @fixagel I got the series, it's 12 episodes. Just two of which took me to the point I was in the game... ! It's not as good as the game, so many missing parts, characters are not introduced, voice acting much better in game. Only thing about the animation which is better I guess is the animation Actually that's unfair, there are things in the animation which give extra info, or give you more of a feel for the characters. Tokitoki Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Watching This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up now. To be honest the first 2 eps bored me to sleep, but on the third it really picked up. Also looking into This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up . It has a interesting concept with genetically its engineered therianthropes who battle to see who has "the sharpest fangs" (the best animal instincts), though it can be on the ecchi side at times. 3 1
Luziano Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Watching Strawberry Panic, after playing a little bit of the PS2 game, decided to watch the anime, it's pretty great for a Yuri anime adaption. 1 2
Tokitoki Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I'm on ep 127 of Dragon Ball Super now. Somehow each episode manages to be enjoyable even though the setting is so simple. All I can say is I was not really surprised what happened in this episode! I really just wanna see the ending already. I heard they will be wrapping Dragon Ball for good, maybe. The video games. merchandise, etc. are sure going strong though. Just started watching some anme called This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up while I was waiting for the new DBS episode. First episode was boring and so far it seems to be another anime about another overpowered guy (he is already max level with seemingly infinite cash, max stats, overpowered AOE skills, etc.) in a "VRMMO" aka Sword Art Online clone. We'll see though. I guess the schtick is that the main guy is a hard working no life programmer 29 year old, but becomes a 15 year old in the video game he was somehow transported to (or it could just all be a dream?). Will watch episode 5 of Killing Bites today since it just was released. I really like Ui Inaba (the rabbit girl)! The show really picked up with her meek personality to balance out Hitomi's (the honey badger) vicious personality. The main guy Yūya so far is very boring and has very little character, which is probably understandable for now considering the shock of it all, but I hope he gets tough later. My new routine is to watch anime during my exercise routines. It's more exciting and also more productive , I think. 1 1
ZED Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Fate/Stay night. Overall , it is great! I like the story , how the characters are built , the universe and even the animations! To describe it in three words : Unlimited Budget Works.
Zetsubou Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Just finished both series of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Iron Blooded Orphans and now I'm taking a break from Gundam series and I currently am on episode 3 of anime called Sacred Seven. 1
RyouBakura Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Finally got the time to watch Welcome to the NHK! Show is truly brilliant, and I can see why dam_ was so into Misaki, that creepy girl is waifu material. 1 1

fixagel Posted May 6, 2018 Author Posted May 6, 2018 Well its has been several months since my last post, on that time I had several series to watch but due to lack of time, wasnt able to catch up, yesterday started watching "Boku dake ga Inai Machi" or "Erased", I was curious because it was on my drive but had no idea what was about (kind of forgot to be honest) anyway, watched the first episode out of curiosity and im enjoying it because.... its a time travel -I think- series and im a sucker for that kind of themes, will let you know how it goes but so far so good, luckily (or not) its only 12 episodes. 1 1
RyouBakura Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 I'm seeing a 10 year-old anime currently, called One Outs. It's a baseball anime, so a lot of the conversations and actions seem beyond understandable to me. The show is about a gambler in the baseball world, and how he wins solely through mind games and strategy. It's good so far, though a little repetitive at times. 1
Tokitoki Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Been watching Gegege no Kitarou. First time I ever heard of it. Probably one of my favorite anime in years. It has a good mix of humor, fantasy, horror, heart, and adventure. The latest episode (6) was sooo tear jerking. I don't remember the last time an anime made me feel such emotion. Also that main intro theme, so catchy. 2 1
